My Wonderful Mom
I truly believe I had the most wonderful Mother in the world. She loved life! She loved her God. She loved her children and grandchildren. She loved her animals. Mama was generous and kind. She would do anything for anyone that needed help. We were so blessed to have our Mother with us for 94 years.
Mother's Day is coming up Sunday and I wish I could see my Mother once again and go to church with her on Mother's Day.
Mama was so pretty in this picture. I took this picture of her one day when we went to visit her sister, Gladys. She was 53 years old when this picture was taken in 1961.
The last family reunion Mama was able to go to she had to show us how she did the disco. Here she is "showing out". I can still see her putting one foot out and then another saying, "Disco dis way and disco dat!" She was 92 years old doing this "disco" her way!
My Mom, Hazel, will always be remembered as a beautiful person God placed on this earth. I know she is having a grand time in heaven with all of her loved ones that went on before her-- especially her son, Leander, and daughter, Mildred. I know for sure Daddy was glad to see her again. Our hope in Christ Jesus, is that we will all be together for eternity.
I love you Mama. If they celebrate Mother's Day in heaven, I know yours will be beautiful!
"The best and most beautiful things cannot be seen or touched - they must be felt with the heart." ~Helen Keller~
(The above quote was sent to me by my sweet cousin. Thanks, Gladys.)
I am posting this Mother's Day post a little early as I will be going on a road trip for about a week! I hope all of you Mothers have a WONDERFUL MOTHER'S DAY!

What wonderful things and memories to share of your sweet mother and my Aunt. I will always remember her being so kind to me when I took care of my mother who had cancer and lived in the other part of the house. My next to the oldest sister Juanita could pass for one of her children in looks. Hope you have a very special mothers day. your cousin, G.
