Early Start on My 65th Birthday!!

Today, Karen came down to visit for my birthday and we went out riding on Mark & Tresha's Sea-Doo! Now was that ever fun until Tresha starting going 50 mph and making sharp turns!! Now that was scary! Karen was on the back just as scared as I was. Then she let Emily drive and she started doing donuts in rough water!! "Oh-no!! A nine-year-old at the helm!!!" So, then Karen started driving and didn't go over 30 mph. Now that is okay. We had lots of fun!!

Karen, Tresha, & me!!

Emily loved riding on the Sea-Doo. The faster the better!!

Jacob really surprised me. He does NOT like going fast on the Sea-Doo so he stayed beind on the beach with Grandpa!

Emily, Aunt Karen, & Jacob playing in the water. We needed a good dip after riding the Sea-Doo. It was really hot today. a little cooler than yesterday, however, but the humidity was HIGH as we have had some thundershowers the last couple of days. I think it was 96 degrees today and 104 degrees yesterday.

Emily is just like a duck in the water!

Emily taking it easy!!

Ken, Tresha & Mark

After being on the lake, we went out to eat at a little cafe on the water! Mark didn't want his picture taken, so he stuck his tongue out to give me this wonderful picture of him!! We do know how to have fun!

Emily, Karen, Jacob, & Grandma (me)!

Our hair was fried after being out on the lake and in the water, but we sure had a great time. By the way, the food was wonderful. I had a Reuben sandwich that was delicious!! Karen & Tresha had prime rib with a giant baked potato and salad. They said it was excellent! Ken ate chicken-fried steak and Emily had a taco salad. I think Jacob had his traditional grilled cheese sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the good food.

After eating, we came back to the house. Jacob decided to do a dance for us! Now this dance I have never seen. He kinda' looks like a cross between a chicken and a jet airplane!! Maybe he is a bird getting ready for take-off. (Actually, I think it was too many chocolate-chip cookies and a captive audience.)

Thanks to all of you who have already sent me birthday e-cards. This birthday celebration may last for about a week!!

I LOVE IT!!!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISSY.........Hey girl, I can REALLY tell that you have dropped some weight. You are looking great. I AM SO PROUD OF YOU. I LOVED THE PHOTO on the Jet Ski. What a neat machine. I would love it too, I'm sure. Looks like a lot of excitement. Once Connee, my stepmother, and I went tubbing on the Tablerock Lake near Branson. You never lived until you get on a HUGE innertube ON YOUR STOMACH with your GUT hitting the water at VERY HIGH speeds and your FAT LEGS and THIGHS smacking on every wave with sharp PAIN in all THREE places. I gripped on to the rope until my knuckles turned blue and ached. It was a life threatening and VERY UNFORGETTABLE experience and I was also probably about 20 years younger at the time also. WHAT A MEMORY AND IT WASN'T EVEN MY BIRTHDAY. What was I thinking??????? Don't know that I would EVER do that one again. A Jet Ski...........maybe.... but NOT TUBBING. I will leave that for the VERY YOUNG,VERY THIN and SOMEWHAT STUPID. HA HA

Looks like you all had a wonderful and fun filled day. Wish I had been there to take more photos. What great blog material.

Have a WONDERFUL DAY tomorrow, Sissy and MILK it good. MAKE IT LAST AT LEAST A WEEK OR TWO.

BY THE WAY, since I am off work now, why don't you come for a visit and we can do some more digging in Dade for some Family history??? You can stay as long as you want and bring Ken too. We got plenty of room and we can go every day hunting for clues to our family history if you want. I have a couple of places and some people in mind to talk to. OK? Let me know. THE SOONER THE BETTER.

    Love you, Janet
