Honoring Chaplain Lt. Col. Boyd Fallwell
As we honor all the men and women who have kept our country free, I would like to pay honor to a very special veteran who serves the families of American veterans who have departed from this life to their eternal destiny. Chaplain Lt. Col. Boyd E. Fallwell is of the American Volunteer Reserve, Veterans of America Honorguard, and is one of the most brave and dedicated men I know. Since 1991 he has given military honors at the funerals of approximately 1300 veterans. Boyd takes his job very seriously and is a great comfort to the families and friends of the departed veterans. Besides given military honors, he sometimes presides over the entire funeral giving the Word of God and encouragement to the family.
Chaplain Lt. Col. Fallwell has been given many awards for his selfless service to many. Last year he was presented the Good Samaritan Award by the Salvation Army and Kirkpatrick Bank in Oklahoma City honored him as an American hero and put up several billboards in his honor.
Boyd has his own website where he publishes memorial pages of the veterans for which he gives military honors. You may visit his website at:
Thank you Chaplain Lt. Col. Boyd Fallwell for a job well done!!

and thank you Mary for honoring our brother on this special day. What a fitting tribute for his job well done. He is like the energizer bunny, he keeps going and going. Even heart attacts, etc. doesn't stop him from honoring the veterans. Thank you Boyd, we love you. Betty

I am HONORED to have Boyd as a cousin in my family and I am also very HONORED to know him and am HONORED that he has taken time out of his busy schedule to help us HONOR our Uncle Albert with a flag flown in his HONOR a couple of years ago. It takes a SPECIAL person to understand HONOR and a really dedicated and caring person like Boyd to HONOR someone else.
We SALUTE you and we want you to know that you will ALWAYS be a HONOR to our family and we are all SO PROUD of you and the service you have done for MANY MANY lives and for our great nation. We forever HONOR YOU on this day....
LOVE, SSGT Gary D. & Janet Basnett

Thank You Mary for the tribute, it is great, you done outdone yourself.
I now have a new name, the Energizer Bunny. Thank you Betty for the title. I do have a battery installed in me, it is called a pacemaker. When I take a licking, I keep on ticking. God keeps my battery charged.
Thank You Janet for your kind words. I am proud to be your cousin.
