October 13th, 2006 was my Daddy's 103rd birthday! Daddy (Cecil) lived 57 years on this earth and he has lived in heaven for 45 years. I sure miss him! He died of a heart attack in 1961 when I was 19 years old.
Daddy loved to eat Mama's cooking. I remember that she had to fix him 6 eggs every morning.
Here is Daddy working in the yard (there is the Howdy Doody Ice Cream Car again). He always kept the grass mowed and the yard cleaned up. Mama loved to plant trees and flowers. If Mama didn't put big rocks around her newly planted trees, Daddy would mow them down with his new power mower! I remember when he first got it from our Uncle Bill who worked for Lawn Boy in Missouri. Daddy was like a kid with a new toy after using that old push mower!!
Happy Birthday, Daddy!! I love you! I know you and Mama are having a great time together with Mildred, Leander, our Lord Jesus, and lot of family members!

My beautiiful Aunt Doris was also born on October 13th. She would have been 81 years old today if she had lived. She was killed by a drunk driver in 1976. Aunt Doris was the mother of my very special cousin, Janet. You can read a wonderful story of Aunt Doris on Janet's Blog. The link is on the right of this page.
Here is a very cute picture of Janet with her beautiful mother, my Aunt Doris!

Aunt Doris was sure beautiful. And she was just as sweet as she was pretty. Beauty is as beauty does and she had it both.

I love the photos and I remember your dad so much when he looked like that. It is so hard to think of him as over 100 years old. MY GOODNESS. I love that photo of my mother with me as a child. She was SO BEAUTIFUL and so SWEET. I MISS HER SO MUCH during this time of the year. She died on November 13 1976. I will be 30 years next month. I LOVE YOU SISSY, Janet
