Thanksgiving Day came one day early for us this year. We celebrated Thanksgiving on Wednesday so we could all be together. Twelve of us really enjoyed the day: Craig, Sheri, Kylie & the twins, Alyssa and Cameron (Ken's son and family). They drove several hours to our neck of the woods and picked up Karen's son, Jeffrey, on the way. We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Mark & Tresha's house. They live about 4 miles from us. The ladies worked in the kitchen and made sure everything was just right for the Thanksgiving feast. Everyone filled their plates and ate to their "stomach's" desire!!
Soon after dinner, all of the little kids went outside to run and play and the women gathered around the kitchen table to chat and relax. The men and the teens crashed out in the living room, so we had a little fun taking pictures and discussing how we had "slaved" in the kitchen for hours and how, within about 20 minutes, everyone was "stuffed & happy" and it was over. We also wondered why the men and teens who sat around and talked while we prepared dinner were so tired and sleepy!!
My husband and I are so blessed to have such a terrific family. We wish we could have had all of them here for thanksgiving dinner this year. Together, we have 5 children and 13 grandchildren. Six of our grandkids we with us today and here they are:
Craig & Sheri's cute little beagle "Angel" also came to visit. She loved scouting out the new territory.
This morning I cooked a big country breakfast for everyone and sat down to relax and enjoy the family while Ken, Craig & Cameron installed a new faucet for my kitchen sink. (Yea!! It is wonderful!) Alyssa is learning to be a photographer and began taking pictures of everyone, so here is a few of the pictures she took:

Hi Sissy,
We went to St. Joseph north of KC to have Thanksgiving with Lisa and John and their daughters, Elisabeth and Lauren. Also Larry and Yvonne were there. Lisa is Larry's oldest daughter. Larry's youngest daugther, Erika was also there with her family, Marc (her husband), Rachael and Sophia. We took our daughter, Melissa and her daughter, Alissa with us too. We had a beautiful sit down dinner, with specially folded turkey napkins and the dinner was complete with Turkey, 2 different kinds of dressing, ham and brisket. We had all of the usual wonderful side dishes and desserts including gooseberry cobbler, pumkin pies, chocolate cake and lots more. THERE GOES MY DIET. BACK on it MONDAY for sure. We are now at our son's house (Daniel and Missy) and enjoying our grandchildren, Dalton & Gracen. Also Alissa. Dalton is 6 and Alissa is 8 so they are enjoying playing and all are having a GREAT time. I enjoyed your blog. It was great. LOVE YOU, Janet
