Freedom Fest 2006

Tonight Ken and I, along with our daughter, Tresha, and grandkids, Emily & Jacob, went to an Independence Day Celebration in Weleetka called "Freedom Fest". Boyd was invited to honor the veterans, both living and deceased. We had a wonderful time together and Boyd did a terrific job. Lester came along with him to assist him in folding the flag. It was great to spend the evening with two of my wonderful brothers. Here are some pictures so you can see what a great time we had.

Uncle Sam was there to welcome everyone! He was very very tall!! (Actually he was wearing stilts.) He picked Jacob up and I captured this cute picture of them. He almost lost his balance when he picked up Jacob. I'm sure glad he didn't, because he had a long way down to fall!!

This girl clown was so cute. She is a ventriloquist and her little monkey fell in love with Boyd. I never thought I would see Boyd kiss a monkey, but I did tonight!! I didn't get that picture though, but here Boyd is with a monkey on his shoulder. (The monkey was actually a stuffed animal.)

The ventriloquist did a great job of making the little girl monkey talk. In the second picture, this is Boyd up on the stage as a part of her act. It was too cute!

I have more pictures to post, but it will be tomorrow sometime. Blogger has decided it didn't want me to upload anymore pictures. Apparently, they are having some technical problems! Well, I really need to go to bed anyway as I have a big day at church tomorrow.

More later . . .
