HAPPY 230TH BIRTHDAY USA!

Last night Mark, Tresha, Emily, Jacob and I went to view our local fireworks display put on by the volunteer fire department. Here are some pics I took:

Emily & Jacob had a great time!

Jacob was running around so much I told him to stop so I could take a picture of him. He decided to pose! He is a very active 6-year-old.

Boyd & Lester Honoring American Veterans

Below is a series of pictures as Boyd and Lester fold the American flag during Freedom Fest 2006 in honor of the American Veterans that have given their lives to serve our country. It was a very moving cermony. I am so proud of my wonderful brothers who are both veterans who have served our country. I was equally as proud to watch them fold the flag of our wonderful United States of America. I am very honored and thankful to have been born in this free country. We are so blessed! Happy 230th birthday America!!
(Note: Scroll down slowly and watch the flag being folded. Lester stands in the same spot and Boyd moves toward him folding the flag.)

More on "Freedom Fest"

Here is another picture of Boyd and the little monkey that fell in love with him. Isn't she cute!!

Then there was the cutest little guy you have ever seen!! His name is "Little E"! He did an Elvis impersonation and is very good! He performs all over the United States. He has even been on the Tonight Show! He put on quite an act.

Boyd and Emily had their picture taken with Little E. Emily is only 9 years old, and she is taller than Little E. He is married to the cutest little lady you ever saw and has two adorable daughters. One of them is 20 years old and is engaged to be married. Little E and his family are very special people.

Now here are some really handsome and wonderful guys in my life--Lester, Ken & Boyd. Lester came down with Boyd to help him fold the flag in the veteran's ceremony.

Ken was in his element at this Celebration. He loves working with the musicians in helping them get set up to perform.

Our daughter, Tresha, and her kids, Emily & Jacob were enjoying the show with us! We had loads of fun!!

Well, I think I have finally figured out how to post my pictures on a blog!! If I upload all the pictures first, before I write anything, it seems to work. I haven't been able to load anymore pictures on this blog page since I starting writing about the pictures, so there will be one more post concerning this event and it is the best and most important. I will post pictures of Boyd doing the honors for the American veterans.

Stay tuned for the next chapter!!

(Later . . . Well, go figure!! I thought I had blogger figured out and it fooled me! I have been trying to upload pictures on another blog page and they will not upload, so I guess I will have to wait until a later time. Who knows???)
