Early Start on My 65th Birthday!!

Today, Karen came down to visit for my birthday and we went out riding on Mark & Tresha's Sea-Doo! Now was that ever fun until Tresha starting going 50 mph and making sharp turns!! Now that was scary! Karen was on the back just as scared as I was. Then she let Emily drive and she started doing donuts in rough water!! "Oh-no!! A nine-year-old at the helm!!!" So, then Karen started driving and didn't go over 30 mph. Now that is okay. We had lots of fun!!

Karen, Tresha, & me!!

Emily loved riding on the Sea-Doo. The faster the better!!

Jacob really surprised me. He does NOT like going fast on the Sea-Doo so he stayed beind on the beach with Grandpa!

Emily, Aunt Karen, & Jacob playing in the water. We needed a good dip after riding the Sea-Doo. It was really hot today. a little cooler than yesterday, however, but the humidity was HIGH as we have had some thundershowers the last couple of days. I think it was 96 degrees today and 104 degrees yesterday.

Emily is just like a duck in the water!

Emily taking it easy!!

Ken, Tresha & Mark

After being on the lake, we went out to eat at a little cafe on the water! Mark didn't want his picture taken, so he stuck his tongue out to give me this wonderful picture of him!! We do know how to have fun!

Emily, Karen, Jacob, & Grandma (me)!

Our hair was fried after being out on the lake and in the water, but we sure had a great time. By the way, the food was wonderful. I had a Reuben sandwich that was delicious!! Karen & Tresha had prime rib with a giant baked potato and salad. They said it was excellent! Ken ate chicken-fried steak and Emily had a taco salad. I think Jacob had his traditional grilled cheese sandwich. Everyone enjoyed the good food.

After eating, we came back to the house. Jacob decided to do a dance for us! Now this dance I have never seen. He kinda' looks like a cross between a chicken and a jet airplane!! Maybe he is a bird getting ready for take-off. (Actually, I think it was too many chocolate-chip cookies and a captive audience.)

Thanks to all of you who have already sent me birthday e-cards. This birthday celebration may last for about a week!!

I LOVE IT!!!

My Oldest Grandson

I just received these pictures from my oldest grandson, Justin. He lives in New Hampshire in a house overlooking the White Mountains. Not only is the view from his house spectacular, but he is a very handsome young man--and an eligible bachelor!! He is also a wonderful Grandson is so considerate. He called me the other night and we talked for two hours. He was telling me all about the beautiful sunset he was looking at from his deck. I was so excited to get these pictures. Last fall, Karen (his Mother) and I visited Justin and went on a road trip through the White Mountains on our way to Montreal. Some of the pictures I took on this trip are in my archives on July 14. Now Justin lives right in the middle of all of that beauty.

What a handsome fellow!!

I love pictures of clouds!

What a beautiful sunset!!

Wish I was there!

Thanks, Justin, for sharing your photography.
